It was my 25th birthday in some days. Every year I tick one destination from my wish list by spending my birthday at that destination. So, this time also chose one destination from my wish list, i.e., Johannesburg. I search a lot before planning a trip to any destination. I searched all about the best properties one could stay at, the best food to eat when in Johannesburg, what all places and landmarks one can visit. Soon after I planned everything, I made all the reservations for our trip.
We boarded our flight for “O.R. Tambo International Airport”. after landing at the airport, we took a cab to “Radisson Blu Hotel Sandton, Johannesburg”. When I was preparing and planning for the trip, I came across many properties that one can book if one is looking to stay here. Some of the best properties are-

What all we did at this fantastic destination?
The next day, we headed to one of the most landmarks of Johannesburg, “Mandela house”. We already know a lot about Nelson Mandela. This place was the house of Nelson Mandela, which is now a museum. We got to see a lot of things related to Mandela and his family and many other things. There were various photos of the Mandela family, the awards that Nelson Mandela received and much more.
After spending and learning so much about Nelson Mandela, we headed to “Maboneng Precinct”. It is such a fun vibes place as this place has many eateries, galleries, the trendy shops, which makes the travellers enjoy even more. If you are a foodie, make sure to try some of the best foods from the shops here. Fortunately, we visited Maboneng Precinct on the weekend, which is why the vibe of this place was altogether so different and unique. After exploring these two places, we returned to our rooms as all of us were tired.
On the next day, we headed to the “Montecasino Bird Gardens”. It feels so special to see that we live on a planet where there are such beautiful creatures. We saw such colourful birds; I have never seen such birds before. Along with the birds, there were some small mammals and reptiles too. Another best part of the trip was that I fed so many birds. This park has made an arrangement where visitors can feed the birds, and it was so amazing. After that, we enjoyed the bird show. The show was super fun. After this, we headed to shop for something. If you are into street shopping, then visit “queens street”. It is one of the best shopping places as it offers the best stuff at the best prices. We bought some antiques from here and more stuff.

Finally, after spending some best days here in Johannesburg, it was time to head back home. We were back home with utmost comfort as I made American Airlines Reservations. Because of making bookings with American Airlines, our air travel was so relaxed. Now when we are back home, it feels so wonderful as we made some lifelong memories. I hope my family and I will keep visiting many more destinations in the future and enjoy ourselves a lot more with each other.
